This is a game term for the value that represents a character's ability to defend against attacks. Currently, it is unclear how DP woks, but it most likely nullifies a portion of the incoming attack according to how high it is. This appears to be a value that is found on armor, but it is likely that some physical characteristics (such as scales) might also provide a DP bonus.[1]
Brendel found a set of Defensive Gauntlets with a +2 DP bonus after defeating the Golden Demon Tree in the Zevail Mountain Pathway.[1]
